This blog came about as an assignment for my "Teachings of the Living Prophets" class through BYU-Idaho. It started out simply as an assignment, but it has grown into something much more. Through studying and searching for the quotes to include on this blog, I have been strengthened and reminded time and time again that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ truly to do love me and want what's best for me.
I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today--President Thomas S. Monson. I also know that we have 14 other men ordained and set apart as prophets, seers, and revelators, and that as I listen to, study, and then apply their words, I will be blessed.
I know that the true church has been restored to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I know that my Savior Jesus Christ came to earth and atoned for my sins. I also know that through his suffering in Gethsemane and on the cross, he experienced anything and everything I will ever experience, and because of this, He knows how to comfort me, strengthen me, and help me through anything and everything I will experience in this life.
I know that as I exercise faith in Jesus Christ, He will lead me and guide me along the path that will make me happy and bring me peace and joy, even in the midst of trials.
I know that families can be together forever, and that if I keep my covenants, I will live with my family as well as my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ throughout eternity.
